Most remodels done to small apartments are focused on opening up the spaces and making them seem larger, brighter and more welcoming overall. The interior was remodeled by Sim-Plex Blueprint Studio in 2017. The principal goal of the remodel was to connect the two zones, the living area and the workspace and to create a feeling of liberty, openness, brightness and fluidity throughout the apartment. This was accomplished by removing the wall separating the home office and making the space a part of the open up-plan living and dining surface area. By doing that, the designers also managed to bring natural light into the workspace which was lacking before.
